Kiara Merkov is a Legal Assistant at Brown, LLC where she supports the firm’s Qui Tam and whistleblower litigation team. In this role, she assists clients and attorneys with case preparation, document management, and litigation support in complex matters involving the False Claims Act as well as other federal whistleblower programs administered by agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Kiara works closely with clients, attorneys and staff to help ensure that cases move efficiently through the investigative and litigation stages. She is motivated by the firm’s mission of representing individuals who expose fraud against the government and financial markets and is committed to maintaining high standards of organization, responsiveness, and professionalism in her work.
In addition to her litigation support responsibilities, Kiara assists with the firm’s marketing and outreach initiatives, helping support efforts to educate the public about whistleblower rights and the firm’s work.
Outside of the office, Kiara enjoys reading, working out, and listening to educational podcasts.
